Who ya gonna call – Lib Dem Focus!

by danielbarker on 30 April, 2015

Whilst the other Political Parties promise to give us something for nothing as long as it’s after next week’s Elections, Willenhall Liberal Democrats just get on with the job of helping to deal with the issues that matter to you right here in New Invention and Short Heath.

Things like anti social behaviour in alleyways linking Sneyd Park, Allens Rough, Beacon Estate. Things like the School Zone, Cannock Road. Things like improving our green open spaces such as Short Heath Park, the Community Green on Lichfield Road, the Neighbourhood Park on Coppice Farm and working with the Friends of Rough Wood achieve the coveted Green Flag status. Things like helping people with housing issues, social care issues and benefit problems following the Labour Council’s reduction in Council Tax Support Grant. Fighting to get much needed road repairs done and the ever increasing parking issues in Pool Hayes Lane and Coltham Road. Planning issues have been at the top of many residents agendas, such as the future of the Meadow House and former Cavalcade pub sites along with the plight of those affected by the old Gas Works contaminated land problem all of which are making slow but positive progress.

This is just a fraction of the all year round service and action that all Liberal Democrat Councillors and Activists sign up to. We’re not miracle workers, some things take longer to achieve than others. The one thing that you can count on is we will do our best to make your voice heard at Walsall Council.

When you want something done who do you call? Well it certainly ain’t the Ghost Busters. Here in New Invention and Short Heath it’s the Liberal Democrat Focus Team that people turn to.
