The most important thing to come out of the Covid Report in my opinion is the statement by the Chair of the British Medical Association (Dr Phil Banfield) that “the UK remained unprepared to respond to another pandemic” unless the Government invests more in the NHS.

Its time for all parties whatever their political colour to come together and formulate a plan to ensure the NHS gets the funds it needs to be able to cope with another pandemic. As Dr Banfield said “We have a duty to those who died”. I would argue we also have a duty to those who may die should we ever get anything like Covid again!
