Places of worship can now bid in for up to £56,000 worth of security funding per individual venue in this year’s iteration of the Places of Worship Security Fund. Note that funding recipients will have to contribute 20% of the total cost of security measures. The application process has been changed this year to allow the scheme to launch without applicants needing to attend their place of worship or engage Designing Out Crime Officers to undertake site assessments at this point in time.
