Public Meeting – Policing across Willenhall

by danielbarker on 23 November, 2017

Your chance to have your questions answered about Policing in our area.

Like all public services the Police have had the money that they get to run Policing severely cut as a direct result of continuing Government austerity policy. (Newsflash: policing was not even mentioned in yesterday’s budget, so it looks like there’s going to be no more money for policing in the immediate future!)

This public meeting gives you the chance to ask the Tory MP for Walsall North what he is going to do about getting his Government colleagues to fund policing to the level needed. You will also have the chance to ask the representative of the Police Crime Commissioner the difficulties they face in trying to deal with the many calls on front-line Policing with an ever shrinking pot of money.

The details of the meeting are as follows:
Where: The Chart Centre, Gomer Street, Willenhall
When: 6.30pm, Friday 8th December

Foot note, Austerity has been with us for almost ten years now since the financial crash in 2008. It’s clearly failed in it’s objectives. Nothing changes unless you change what you are doing.
