There were further problems overnight in Sandbeds Road, Short Heath, due to the temporary traffic lights installed by Severn Trent whilst they complete works on repairing a sewer near the Stroud Avenue junction.
Once again, the light was stuck on red resulting in absolute chaos. Severn Trent really do need to get to grips with this problem! Residents, motorists and public transport users in the area have had to suffer road closures and diversions throughout the summer months whilst they carried out major mains renewal works.
These new issues really do not bode well when you think that Severn Trent have said that the works could take until the 13th October to complete.
We have emailed Walsall Council to flag up the difficulties being experienced. Officers will be contacting Severn Trent.
