There is a subtle change going in our lives. A change so subtle most people have not noticed and certainly gets little or no publicity from the right wing popular press. It’s a change that benefits the few at the expense of the many.

What is that change? The Tories in Government are shifting the responsibility for many of the services we all take for granted onto Local Government. At the same time they are slashing funding to Local Government in a way hither too unseen forcing them to make cuts of an unprecedented nature.

Get my drift? Along with the responsibility goes the blame! Add to that the shift from Direct Taxation to Council Tax which takes little or no account of ability to pay it’s no wonder the Tories appear to be getting away with blue murder!
