Council responds to residents call for improvements.

Further safety measures are being taken by Walsall Council in response to urgent requests from residents who regularly use the walkway linking the Wood Lane Est, Short Heath, to the Lichfield Road reports Liberal Democrat Cllrs Ian Shires and Val Woodruff.

“P” shaped barriers are to be installed within the next month to address the issues of off road bikes and ASB in this well used pedestrian link.

“It’s another link in the chain to improve this vital link” said Val.”One which I know will be welcomed by all those who use it.”

“This action, along with the work being carried out by the owner of the once derelict property next to the walkway on the Lichfield Road, should improve safety, giving people confidence and lifting the local environment” added Ian.
